Hymenaeus was a false teacher Paul names twice in his letters to Timothy: first among those Paul says he has "delivered unto Satan" for rejecting a good conscience (1 Timothy 1:19-20), and later for teaching that the resurrection had already happened, a claim Paul says was upsetting some believers' faith (2 Timothy 2:17-18).
