Thebes

Verse mentions:
5

Thebes, called No or No-amon in the Bible, was a major city in ancient Egypt, far up the Nile. Nahum points to its earlier destruction by Assyria as a warning of what awaits Nineveh (Nahum 3:8-10), and Jeremiah and Ezekiel both include it in oracles of judgment against Egypt.
