Tribe of Reuben
Reuben was Jacob's firstborn son by Leah, but he lost the rights of the firstborn after sleeping with his father's concubine Bilhah (Genesis 35:22, 49:3-4). His tribe settled east of the Jordan River, in territory better suited to grazing livestock than farming.
