Kings of Israel

The 42 kings of Israel, from Saul to Zedekiah. Saul, David, and Solomon ruled a united kingdom. After Solomon's death it split in two: the northern Kingdom of Israel, which fell to Assyria in 722 BC, and the southern Kingdom of Judah, which fell to Babylon in 586 BC.

Reign years follow Edwin Thiele's chronology, the standard reconstruction of the overlapping regnal counts in Kings and Chronicles. A few reigns overlap on purpose: co-regencies, where a king shared the throne with his successor before he died.
