Si-mê-ôn
Con trai thứ hai của Gia-cốp với Lê-a (Sáng-thế Ký 29:33). Ông cùng với Lê-vi tham gia vào hành động trả thù khốc liệt đối với Hê-mô và dân Si-khem (Sáng-thế Ký 34:25, 26). Ông bị Giô-sép giữ lại ở Ê-díp-tô làm con tin (Sáng-thế Ký 42:24). Cha ông, khi sắp qua đời, đã đưa ra lời quở phạt nghiêm khắc đối với ông (Sáng-thế Ký 49:5-7). Những lời trong Bản dịch Authorized Version (Sáng-thế Ký 49:6), “they digged down a wall” (họ phá đổ một bức tường), nên được dịch chính xác như trong Revised Version là “they houghed an ox” (chúng chặt gân chân bò).
